Media & Communications Law

In the last few years, the firm has expanded its practice to the Media & Communication Laws.

It has handled a complex matter relating to fixation of commercial tariff for cable signal payable by hotels before the Telecom Disputes Settlement & Appellate Tribunal on behalf the Federation of Hotel & Restaurant Association of India. The firm has also rendered advisory services to several hotels and restaurants on the issue of cable & broadcasting.


The firm has also appeared on behalf of a recording company in a matter pertaining to breach of exclusive Artist Agreement, which involved issues of restrictive covenants and enforcement of contracts of personal service.


The firm has also worked on a matter relating to allocation of spectrum by the Government. The firm appeared in an important matter relating to interpretation of the Copyright Act for compulsory licensing of songs for FM Radio channels.


The firm is representing Sony Entertainment with respect to sharing of cricket broadcast feed under the orders of Court.
